Jan started the game at age 5 in the Lansing Publinx program.
She was captain of the first Waverly High School girls golf team in 1979 and went on to play for Michigan State University from 1980-1984.
A proud Spartan, she uses her Park and Recreation Resources, Golf Course Design degree to provide unique perspectives on course management and how to play the game.
Jan is Site Director of LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Mid-Michigan, Head Coach of the Laingsburg golf team and is the Assistant Coach of the DeWitt girls golf team.
Each August Jan teaches an MSU Study Abroad golf program at the home of golf, St. Andrews, Scotland.
Her innovative golf school contains Girls, Parents & KidsTM and Wee Linkers TM Academies, Golf 101, Golf 911 and Golf Without Tears TM programs. The Winter Academy features Fit 4 Golf, the Short Game School and the Putting Improvement Program.
Jan's Golf School is hosted by DeWitt Golf Center and Prairie Creek Golf Course in DeWitt where she teaches golfers of all ages and ability levels to love the game!
