I am fortunate enough to have been selected to develop and teach a "Using Golf In Business" class for Michigan State University Study Abroad students. The program is conducted at the University of St. Andrews as well as the St. Andrews Links Trust Practice Center adjacent to The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.

The Michigan State University Study Abroad program will be conducted at the University of St. Andrews.
The Management piece of the program, taught by Dean Dr. Eileen Wilson, focuses on labor-management relations in a global market. The goal of the program is to expose students to different employment relations models and their impact of multi-national U.S. corporations on the management of people in complex organizations.
Students participating in this study abroad program will have a very unique, once-in-a-life-time opportunity to sign up for either a non-credit "Golf Experience" or a 2 credit "Using Golf In Business" class.
Both learning opportunities feature 'hands on' golf instruction . The pre departure instruction features the fundamentals of putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers and the full swing and is taught at DeWitt Golf Center in DeWitt Michigan in April.
The second golf instruction component takes place in St. Andrews, Scotland in August where we focus on links style shots: 40 yard putts, pitch and run, pot bunker and punch shots.
Golf instruction includes excusrions to the Himalayas "Ladies Putting Course" (adjacent to the Old Course) as well as a "Practice, Play and Pub Day' at The Dukes Golf Club in St. Andrews.
Students arrange their own tee times to play any of the seven Links Trust Courses in St. Andrews.
