LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Mid-Michigan is a recreational junior golf program for girls ages 7-17. Sponsored by the LPGA and the USGA it was formed to create a network for girls to learn and play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a positive and supportive learning environment. The only national initiative of its kind just for girls, the program provides the opportunity to achieve success, progress in golf and establish a life-long interest in the game. Girls learn the basics in rules, etiquette, full swing, short game and putting. Skill building is achieved through non-competitive individual and team games. Girls receive an LPGA Girls Golf Membership Kit, sent directly to them from the LPGA!
Don't have golf clubs? Don't let that stop you from becoming a member! We have plenty of clubs. Reserve a set by calling Coach Jan at 517-242-2115.
Girl Scouts who are active participants in the program will earn a Girl Scout Golf Participation Patch.
To register for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Mid-Michigan please complete the following
four (4) steps:
1. Register for the program on the On Line Registration Form. Please note you NOW can pay registration fees on line! You can still pay by check! Just enclose a check with your Activity Application and Participant Agreement. Questions? Call Coach Jan at 517-242-2115.
2. From the "LPGA-USGA Forms" page, click on the LPGA-USGA Activity Application and print it. Complete the application. Be sure that both you and your daughter sign the application.
3. From the "LPGA-USGA Forms" page, click on the LPGA-USGA Participant Agreement and print it. Complete the agreement and sign it.
4. Mail both the Activity Application and Participant Agreement to Coach Jan Brintnall at DeWitt Golf Center, 11890 US-27, DeWitt, MI, 48820. If you have any questions, please feel free to call 517-242-2115.
TO BE FULLY REGISTERED YOU NEED TO HAVE COMPLETED BOTH THE LPGA-USGA ACTIVITY APPLICATION AND PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT AND REGISTERED ON LINE!
Parents are encouraged to attend any (or every!) event. Bring your camera to capture some memorable moments. We welcome any time that you can spare volunteering to help supervise the girls.
