I am fortunate enough to have been selected to teach "Business Golf--Using Golf as a Business Tool" to Michigan State University Study Abroad students. The program will be conducted at University of St. Andrews as well as the St. Andrews Links Trust Courses in St. Andrews, Scotland.

The Michigan State University Study Abroad program will be conducted at the University of St. Andrews. The program focuses on labor-management relations in a global market. The goal of the program is to expose students to different employment relations models and their impact of multi-national U.S. corporations on the management of people in complex organizations. Students participating in this study abroad program will have a very unique, life time opportunity to sign up for a "golf in business" element as an optional experience. This golf element has two components: a 5 hour pre-departure clinic which focuses on "golf as a business tool"; American style golf courses and how to play them. The clinic will include range instruction and a study of American golf course design and course management (how best to play our par 3's, 4's and 5's). The second component will take place during the study abroad program at St. Andrews Golf Club (the birthplace of golf). The St. Andrews experience will include 5 hours of instruction on Scottish/European style golf courses and how to play them. Students will learn an array of "Scottish shots" then play a 9 hole scramble on St. Andrews Balgove course.
